## Description

We are seeking an experienced **Senior Consultant – Infectious Diseases** to provide specialized diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative care for patients with complex infectious diseases. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention and control, clinical education, and quality improvement.

## Requirements

-   Provide expert consultation and comprehensive management of patients with complex and acute infectious diseases.
-   Diagnose and manage bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic, and other infectious conditions.
-   Manage complex infections including sepsis, bloodstream infections, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, complicated urinary and respiratory infections, and healthcare-associated infections.
-   Provide specialist input for immunocompromised patients, including transplant, oncology, and critically ill patients.
-   Guide appropriate antimicrobial selection, dosing, duration, de-escalation, and monitoring.
-   Collaborate with Infection Prevention and Control teams regarding healthcare-associated infections, outbreaks, isolation precautions, and infection-control policies.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings with intensive care, surgery, oncology, hematology, microbiology, pharmacy, and other specialties.
-   Provide inpatient and outpatient infectious disease consultations.
-   Review microbiology, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, imaging, pathology, and other diagnostic results.
-   Develop evidence-based treatment plans and provide follow-up for complex cases.
-   Support hospital infection surveillance, outbreak investigation, and infection-control initiatives.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality-improvement programs, research, and development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
-   Provide teaching, supervision, and mentorship to residents, fellows, and junior physicians.
