## Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon** to join a government hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This opportunity is suited to an experienced surgeon with recognized specialist training and American Board certification in the relevant surgical specialty, together with a strong track record in cardiovascular surgical care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients with cardiovascular conditions requiring surgical intervention, performing procedures within their scope of expertise, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care.

ey Responsibilities

-   Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions requiring surgical evaluation or intervention.
-   Perform cardiovascular surgical procedures appropriate to the candidate’s specialist training and clinical privileges.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, diagnostic investigations, and current evidence-based guidelines.
-   Provide preoperative assessments, perioperative management, and postoperative follow-up.
-   Manage complex surgical cases in collaboration with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other relevant specialists.
-   Review and interpret diagnostic investigations, including echocardiography, CT angiography, and other relevant cardiovascular imaging.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and optimize patient outcomes.
-   Monitor postoperative recovery and manage complications within the scope of professional competence.
-   Maintain accurate medical records and comply with hospital policies, clinical governance, infection control, and patient safety standards.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development activities.
-   Provide clinical guidance and supervision to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals, where appropriate.

## Requirements

Recognized postgraduate specialist qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery or the relevant cardiovascular surgical specialty.

Proven experience as a consultant-level cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgeon.

Substantial experience in the assessment and surgical management of cardiovascular conditions.

Demonstrated competence in relevant surgical procedures and perioperative patient management.

Strong clinical judgment, surgical decision-making, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
