## Description

A leading tertiary hospital in the UAE is looking for an experienced **Consultant Neurosurgeon** to join its specialist team. The successful candidate will manage complex neurosurgical cases, perform advanced surgical procedures, and provide comprehensive care across elective and emergency cases.

The role offers the opportunity to work within a **multidisciplinary, advanced clinical environment** with access to modern facilities and a diverse patient population. Candidates with strong experience in **complex cranial, spinal and neurovascular procedures** will be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior neurosurgeon seeking a long-term position with a leading healthcare provider in the UAE.

**Responsibilities**:

-   Diagnose and manage a wide range of **complex neurosurgical and neurological conditions**.
-   Perform advanced **cranial, spinal and neurovascular procedures** as per clinical expertise.
-   Manage elective and emergency neurosurgical cases.
-   Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including clinical examination and review of imaging and investigations.
-   Develop individualized treatment and surgical plans.
-   Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and monitor patient recovery.
-   Manage critically ill neurosurgical patients in collaboration with ICU and other specialties.
-   Participate in **multidisciplinary team (MDT)** meetings and complex case discussions.
-   Collaborate with Neurology, Neuroradiology, Oncology, Orthopaedics, Critical Care and Rehabilitation teams.
-   Provide consultation and second opinions for complex cases.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
-   Support teaching, mentoring and supervision of junior doctors and residents.
-   Contribute to the development of neurosurgical services, protocols and clinical pathways.
-   Stay updated with current **evidence-based neurosurgical practices and technologies**.
-   Participate in on-call and emergency services as required.

## Requirements

-   Medical degree with recognised postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery.
-   **Consultant-level qualification** such as CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Board, Irish Board or equivalent.
-   Minimum **5+ years of post-specialisation clinical experience** preferred.
-   Eligible for **DHA/DoH/MOHAP** Consultant licensing.
-   Strong experience in complex neurosurgical procedures.
-   Excellent communication and clinical skills.
-   Experience in a tertiary/quaternary hospital environment preferred.
