## Description

A leading healthcare group in the UAE is seeking an experienced **Consultant Pathologist** to join its pathology and laboratory medicine team. The role involves providing expert diagnostic services across surgical pathology, cytopathology, and other relevant areas while ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

The successful candidate will work closely with clinicians, surgeons, oncologists, and laboratory teams to support diagnosis and treatment planning. The position also offers an opportunity to contribute to **quality assurance, clinical governance, laboratory development, and multidisciplinary case discussions** within a modern healthcare environment.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide consultant-level diagnostic pathology services.
-   Examine and interpret histopathology, cytology, and biopsy specimens.
-   Prepare accurate and timely pathology reports.
-   Perform or oversee specialised diagnostic investigations where applicable.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and tumour boards.
-   Correlate pathology findings with clinical and radiological information.
-   Maintain high standards of laboratory quality, patient safety, and clinical governance.
-   Support quality assurance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
-   Collaborate with clinicians, laboratory professionals, and other specialists.

## Requirements

-   Medical degree with recognised postgraduate qualification in **Pathology / Laboratory Medicine**.
-   Consultant-level clinical experience.
-   **American, Canadian, Australian, Irish Board, CCT/CCST or equivalent** preferred.
-   Experience in a hospital or tertiary laboratory setting.
-   DHA / DoH / MOHAP licence or eligibility preferred.
-   Strong diagnostic, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
