## Description

A leading government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon with a recognized Western qualification to join its advanced surgical team. The successful candidate will provide expert surgical care for patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions, perform advanced surgical procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.
-   Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair and replacement, and other advanced cardiac surgeries.
-   Perform thoracic surgical procedures within the approved scope of practice.
-   Provide comprehensive preoperative assessment and postoperative care.
-   Manage surgical complications and support patient recovery.
-   Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical decision-making.
-   Maintain accurate medical records, operative reports, and surgical logbooks.
-   Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and professional development.
-   Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and UAE healthcare regulations.

## Requirements

-   MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, or Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery.
-   Western qualification preferred, such as UK CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Royal College, Australian FRACS, South African Board, or an equivalent internationally recognized qualification.
-   Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience, preferably at consultant level.
-   Extensive experience in complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
-   Demonstrated expertise in CABG, valve surgery, and other advanced cardiothoracic procedures.
-   Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
