## Description

We are seeking an experienced **Consultant Acute Medicine Physician** with **Western qualifications or American Board Certification** to provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of adult patients presenting with acute medical conditions. The successful candidate will lead the Acute Medical Unit (AMU), deliver rapid clinical decision-making, stabilize critically ill patients, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.

## Requirements

Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognised medical institution

Recognised specialist qualification in Acute Medicine, including:

-   **American Board Certification in Internal Medicine** (with relevant Acute/Internal Medicine experience)
-   **UK CCT in Acute Internal Medicine** or other recognised **Western qualification**

Minimum **5 years of post-specialisation clinical experience** preferred

Expertise in:

-   Acute Internal Medicine
-   Emergency assessment and stabilisation of critically ill adults
-   Management of complex acute medical conditions
-   Sepsis and medical emergencies
-   Cardiorespiratory and metabolic disorders
-   Acute Medical Unit (AMU) leadership
-   Multidisciplinary patient management and discharge planning

Experience supervising junior physicians and participating in quality improvement initiatives

Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills
