## Description

BOOKKEEPER

Shepard Webster & O'Neill (SWON), established in 1948 and located on the Mornington Peninsula, is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. We offer a modern office environment in Frankston with the option of part-time or full-time hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

\- Managing accounting transactions of our external bookkeeping clients

\- Reconciling bank accounts

\- Processing payroll including STP & superannuation compliance

\- Basic HR administrative tasks

\- Reconciliation, preparation & lodgement of BAS & IAS

\- Meeting technical standards & deadlines

\- Liaising with Accountants for annual accounts & tax queries

\- Building & maintaining client relationships over time

\- Managing the accounts receivable/accounts payable function for clients

\- Demonstrated self-checking skills

## Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

\- 3+ years' solid bookkeeping experience (public practice background desirable, not essential)

\- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Diploma in Accounting

\- Must be proficient in Xero & MYOB (Xero certification highly regarded)

\- Excellent attention to detail

\- Strong communication & interpersonal skills

\- Flexible & adaptable approach

\- A desire to learn & work collaboratively as an enthusiastic team player

\- Strong technical & organisational skills

\- Must submit to a Police check

\- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and reside in Melbourne
