€70,000–€85,000 per year | Permanent, full-time | On-site | Trim, Co. Meath

Select Ambition is recruiting a Practice Accountant for a confidential accountancy practice in Trim, Co. Meath. You will take ownership of financial reporting, compliance and advisory work for a portfolio of SME clients, while supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the practice’s development.

The position covers year-end accounts under FRS 102 Section 1A and Irish GAAP, management accounts, cash-flow analysis, corporation and income tax work, VAT review, statutory audit support and bookkeeping review. You will manage several deadlines, maintain review-ready files and keep senior colleagues informed of delivery risks.

As a main client contact, you will build trusted relationships and provide practical guidance on controls, budgeting, cash flow, systems and business structures within your professional expertise. You will also supervise and coach trainees, review delegated work and help improve recurring processes and quality controls.

This is a long-term, on-site opportunity with scope to grow into broader portfolio and team leadership. Applications will be handled in confidence.

## Requirements

Essential

\- Accountancy-practice experience involving SME or owner-managed clients.

\- Experience preparing year-end financial statements under Irish GAAP and FRS 102 Section 1A.

\- Experience with corporation tax, income tax and related compliance work.

\- Ability to manage several client assignments and deadlines accurately.

\- Strong client-facing communication and professional judgement.

\- Experience reviewing delegated work and supporting trainees or junior colleagues.

\- Ability to work on-site in Trim, Co. Meath.

Preferred

\- Experience supporting statutory audits from planning through completion.

\- Management accounts, cash-flow analysis or commercial-advisory experience.

\- VAT knowledge, including property VAT or reverse-charge transactions.

\- Accounting-system implementation or process-improvement experience.
