## Description

Select Ambition is partnering with a small, busy and well-established accountancy practice in Dublin 12 to appoint a Senior Practice Accountant.

Salary: €70,000–€80,000 per annum

The firm has a varied client portfolio and an established team comprising three qualified accountants and two trainee accountants.

This is a broad senior-practice role for a qualified accountant who can manage assignments through to partner review, engage confidently with clients and provide day-to-day guidance to trainee staff. The successful candidate will work across accounts preparation, audit, taxation compliance and general practice assignments.

Key responsibilities include:

\- Preparing statutory accounts to partner-review stage.

\- Managing statutory audit assignments from planning through to partner-review stage.

\- Completing income tax and corporation tax compliance work.

\- Undertaking general practice and ad hoc client assignments.

\- Supervising, supporting and reviewing trainee staff.

\- Meeting clients directly and maintaining effective professional relationships.

The role is permanent, on-site in Dublin 12 and works 32 hours across four days.

## Requirements

Essential requirements:

\- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or an equivalent recognised professional qualification).

\- At least five years’ experience in an accountancy practice in Ireland or the UK.

\- At least three years’ post-qualification experience.

\- Strong practical experience across statutory accounts, audit, income tax and corporation tax.

\- Ability to manage assignments accurately through to partner-review stage.

\- Experience supervising and supporting junior or trainee staff.

\- Strong client-facing, interpersonal and communication skills.

\- Fluent written and spoken English.

\- Professional, organised and able to use initiative in a busy practice environment.

\- Strong aptitude across both taxation and accounts.
