## Description

The Business Development Manager drives strategic growth across local, export, and emerging markets. This role leads partner development, trade strategy, and market execution to expand revenue, optimize margins, and align growth initiatives with the Group’s vision.

## Requirements

**Strategic Growth & Innovation**

-   Lead the strategic identification and qualification of new markets, partnerships, and B2B revenue streams.
-   Drive market intelligence gathering and opportunity analysis to inform C-suite decisions.

-   Shape multi-year growth plans, including route-to-market (RTM), channel expansion, and innovation inputs.

**Market Penetration & Commercial Execution**

-   Oversee the implementation of pricing, distribution, and brand entry strategies in new and existing territories.

-   Manage channel optimization initiatives and monitor ROI across trade marketing efforts.

-   Coordinate cross-border activities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

**Customer Relationship & Partner Management**

-   Establish and deepen long-term B2B and institutional partnerships.

-   Oversee key account negotiations, performance management, and service-level agreements.

-   Create frameworks to measure B2B customer journey, satisfaction, loyalty, and risk.

**Trade & Brand Strategy Integration**

-   Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Innovation teams to support trade-ready brands and formats.

-   Monitor competitor intelligence, pricing structures, and consumer behaviour shifts across geographies.

-   Guide pricing architecture development and gross profit maximization.

**Team Leadership & Reporting**

-   Mentor and guide a high-performing BDM team focused on market expansion and partner management.

-   Deliver strategic business performance reports, investment rationales, and commercial dashboards to senior management.

-   Represent the department in strategic planning and leadership meetings.

**Qualifications**

-   **Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade or related field (MBA preferred)**

-   **Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior business development, trade marketing, or commercial management roles, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.**

**Abilities/ Skills**

-   **Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)**

-   **Skilled communicator, presenter, and influencer at senior levels**

-   **Sound judgment under pressure; capable of making high-stakes commercial decisions**
