# Plant Assistant- Bulk Packaging

## Description

**Objectives and Purpose of the Job**

Support the production bagging function by efficiently, accurately bagging, and palletizing finished products as per Company standard.

## Requirements

**Main Duties and Responsibilities:**

-   Bag/pack products from line/silo in accordance with production plan.
-   Assist with the monitoring of products on the packing line with respect to weight, fill levels, and correct codes.
-   Palletize items produced on shift with support from other assigned team members (may involveheavy lifting).
-   Unload raw materials from container or truck.
-   Retrieve raw and packaging material from Stores in accordance with Supervisor’s instructions.
-   Report all sub-standard or non-conformance in product produced and machine failure.
-   Clean and organize work area; turn off and lock equipment after production.
-   Assist in the cleaning of bins as required.
-   Assist with maintaining 5’s standards that maintain a clean and safe working environment.
-   Adhere to good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and HACCP quality systems.
-   Ensure that safety, health, and environment rules and regulations are adhered to.
-    Perform all other duties as designated by Plant Supervisor, which may involve being assigned to other plants/areas. 

**Academic/Technical/Management: Experience and Qualifications:**

-    Secondary level education
-   No experience required

**Abilities; Skills; Experience; Aptitude and Judgement:**

-       Good oral communication skills
-       Must be willing to comply with Company rules and regulations
-       Other Personal or General Characteristics:
-       Highly motivated
-      Team Player
