# Senior iOS Engineer

## Description

We’re looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to help build and scale the Slips iOS app — a core surface of our peer-to-peer platform. You’ll play a critical role in shaping product experiences used daily by real users, handling real money, and operating at real scale.

This is a hands-on role for a builder who cares deeply about performance, UX polish, and clean architecture, and who wants meaningful ownership in a fast-moving environment.

### What You’ll Do

-   Design, build, and maintain core features of the Slips iOS app
-   Own end-to-end implementation of new product experiences, from concept to release
-   Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and data teams
-   Optimize app performance, reliability, and responsiveness
-   Help define and evolve our iOS architecture, tooling, and best practices
-   Review code, mentor engineers, and raise the overall quality bar
-   Ship frequently and iterate based on real user feedback

## Requirements

### What We’re Looking For

-   5+ years of professional iOS development experience
-   Strong proficiency in Swift and modern iOS frameworks
-   Experience building and scaling production iOS apps
-   Deep understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVVM, modularization, etc.)
-   Strong grasp of performance optimization, memory management, and debugging
-   Experience working with APIs, real-time data, and asynchronous systems
-   High attention to detail in UI/UX and animation polish
-   Comfortable owning large features and making technical decisions

### Nice to Have

-   Experience with fintech, payments, gaming, or real-money products
-   Familiarity with App Store release processes and Apple guidelines
-   Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
-   Exposure to analytics, experimentation, or growth tooling
-   Interest in peer-to-peer systems, marketplaces, or social products
