SoftCom International is a member of TAO Digital Solutions Inc. , California – USA. **Description** Currently we are looking for **•           System Engineer (Feature Owner) in AUTOMOTIVE** to be part of our teams, working for the Global Automotive Market, from Greece.  **Role:** The role of a feature owner is: To lead the development of a feature by: •           serving as technical contact point for his/her feature area for external and internal stakeholders •           understanding the needs/requirements of a customer& applicable standards •           translating them into actionable system requirements mainly for software development teams •           acting as a driver for consistent requirements, interfaces and implementation decisions •           ensuring customer expectations have been met during the development phase **Major Responsibilities:** **•**           Assessing and clarifying functional customer and system requirements in collaboration with system architecture and requirements managers. Representing the feature area in technical customer discussions supporting analysis during RFI and RFQ phases •           Facilitating technical solution proposals as input for effort, timing, risk and resource planning •           Co-ordinating use-case and feature development along the feature roadmap together with SW Lead, Test Team, Project Manager, Architect and other Feature Owners. •           Deriving, prioritizing and aligning implementation tasks for system architect, requirement engineer, sw lead and tester. •           Ensuring technical consistency across requirements, architecture, implementation and verification. Providing technical assessments of decision options, recommending viable solution paths and escalating open topics where required •           Evaluating non-functional requirements and aligning them with responsible internal stakeholders •           Reviewing and technically accepting customer requirements in coordination with the system architect and based on the high-level system architecture. If needed taking on Requirement Engineering tasks in justified individual cases where specific domain depth is required •           Confirming release readiness from a functional perspective to Project Management until final-end customer approval •           Supporting Customer Solutions, Sales and Advanced Engineering during concept phases, MVPs acquisition activities and joint development programs with OEMs •           Building and maintaining strong relationships with OEM Feature/ Product Owners and technical counterparts ## Requirements **Required technical Skills and Competencies:** **•**           Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science/ Telecommunications or equivalent •           Knowledge of product development engineering practices on Embedded Systems in Automotive area. Technical knowledge of embedded electronics products (HW and/or SW) •           Understanding of System Engineering practices. •           Very good oral and written communication skills in English **Preferred Experience:** Experience in the following area: •           **SW Update Feature** refers to the Software update functionality that takes place either Over-The-Air (OTA) via the cellular/WiFi connection or Over-The-Ethernet through a local Ethernet diagnostic/service interface. Typical requirements are: secure download, verification, installation, activation, and status reporting **Required seniority:** •           seniors (minimum hands on experience: 4 years) **Nice to have skills:** •           Experience in writing technical requirements and higher level architectural designs •           MSc degree •           Familiar with A-SPICE process for Automotive Domain •           Familiar with Product Management tools e.g Jira, Confluence, Polarion **Prerequisites:** - Ability to travel abroad, as needed (<= 10%). - Participation to a technical interview. - Possibility to participate to a technical test.
