## Description

Position: Full-Time Governess / Early Years Educator

Schedule: Monday to Saturday 10AM to 20:00

Location: Dubai

Age of child: 3 years old

We are looking for a warm, caring and highly educated Governess / Early Years Educator to support the development and learning of a 3-year-old child that would take a mix role of nanny and educator.

The ideal candidate should have a background in Early Childhood Education, Montessori, Early Years Education, Special Education or a related field, with experience working with young children.

The role will focus primarily on the child’s educational, cognitive, language, communication, social and motor development, while creating a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Main Responsibilities

\* Plan and provide age-appropriate educational activities.

\* Support language and communication development through conversation, storytelling, reading and interactive play.

\* Encourage vocabulary development and verbal communication.

\* Develop fine and gross motor skills through structured activities and play.

\* Provide sensory activities and creative experiences.

\* Encourage cognitive development, problem-solving and concentration.

\* Introduce early concepts such as numbers, colours, shapes, letters and pre-literacy skills.

\* Read books and encourage a love of reading.

\* Encourage independent play and age-appropriate independence.

\* Develop social skills, turn-taking and interaction through play.

\* Use Montessori-inspired activities where appropriate.

\* Support emotional development and positive behaviour.

\* Prepare the child for nursery/KG1 and future school routines.

\* Maintain a consistent and structured afternoon routine.

\* Communicate with the parents regarding the child’s progress, interests and development.

\* Keep a simple record of activities and developmental progress.

\* Organise and tidy the child’s educational materials after activities.

\* Prepare or assist with a light snack for the child if required.

The ideal candidate

\* Degree or qualification in Early Childhood Education / Early Years / Montessori / Special Education.

\* Previous experience working with children aged 3–5 years.

\* Strong understanding of early childhood development.

\* Experience with language stimulation and communication development.

\* Warm, patient and nurturing personality.

\* Creative and able to make learning fun.

\* Excellent English communication skills.

\* First Aid and CPR certified.

\* References and previous childcare experience.

\* A genuine passion for supporting children’s development.

Important

This is primarily an educational and developmental role, then a traditional nanny or housekeeper position. The governess will be expected to focus on the child’s learning, communication and development.
