### **About the Role**

We're looking for a sharp, clinically trained **Medical-Legal Virtual Assistant** to join a **Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) practice** with a strong personal injury and medical-legal focus. The physician regularly evaluates injured patients and provides expert opinions on causation and future medical needs. That work generates a steady, deadline-driven stream of record reviews, reports, depositions, and attorney communication.  
  
This isn't a phone-answering role. You'll turn stacks of medical records into clear, accurate chronologies, research the costs of future care, keep attorney offices and referral sources moving, and help patients get scheduled. The practice already has an established VA system and workflow, so you'll step into proven processes and be expected to adapt quickly. If you have a clinical background, write polished English, and take pride in getting every detail right, we want to hear from you.

### **What You'll Do**

-   **Create medical chronologies** from medical records, organizing visits, diagnoses, imaging, procedures, and treatment into clear, accurate timelines
-   **Conduct cost analysis** of medical and non-medical services tied to a patient's current and future care needs
-   **Coordinate medical-legal encounters** by email with attorney offices and medical-legal contacts
-   **Prepare deposition and trial binders**, making sure every record, report, and exhibit is complete, organized, and ready on time
-   **Meet report deadlines** for clients, tracking every deliverable to completion
-   **Schedule and convert** patient inquiries and referrals into booked appointments. You'll take ownership of moving patients forward, not just answer calls
-   **Confirm and reschedule appointments** and manage calendars
-   **Verify insurance** coverage for incoming patients
-   **Communicate with attorney offices and referral sources**, helping maintain strong professional relationships
-   **Draft letters and emails** using established templates, and proofread every document before it goes out
-   **Document every patient interaction** accurately and completely

## Requirements

### **What You Bring**

-   **3+ years of nursing or clinical experience**: RN, NP, or a clearly demonstrated comparable clinical background. You can read and interpret complex medical records with confidence
-   **2+ years supporting a U.S.-based medical practice remotely**
-   **Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish**
-   **Excellent written English**. Writing matters most in this role: correct grammar, careful proofreading, and polished, professional emails and documents
-   **Strong English reading comprehension** and clear spoken English with minimal accent
-   **Experience in Orthopedics, Pain Management, PM&R/Spine, Neurosurgery, or a medical-legal environment is a strong plus**
