## Description

Assistant General Manager — Hey, Sunshine Kitchen  
  
Hey, Sunshine Kitchen is looking for an Assistant General Manager to help lead daily operations and uphold our culture, systems, and guest experience standards. This role works closely with the General Manager and ownership team, supporting shift leadership, training, inventory, scheduling, and overall restaurant standards.  
  
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is comfortable working across all areas of the restaurant, including POS/guest interaction, front of house, build line, and back of house.  
  
Responsibilities  
Support the General Manager with daily restaurant operations  
Lead shifts to ensure smooth, efficient service  
Work alongside team members in front and back of house as needed  
Assist with training and onboarding using established systems and checklists  
Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, hospitality, and service  
Help manage inventory, prep organization, and operational readiness  
Support scheduling and staffing coordination under the GM's direction  
Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently  
Model and reinforce company values and culture  
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures  
Foster a positive, respectful, team-oriented environment  
Maintain accountability through daily operational tools and checklists  
Coach and support crew members during shifts  
Perform opening, closing, and shift management duties as assigned

## Requirements

3+ years of restaurant experience as a shift lead, key holder, assistant manager, or similar role  
Strong communication and interpersonal skills  
Ability to lead by example and collaborate effectively  
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment  
Basic computer skills, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office  
Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed  
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
