## Description

We are looking for a Design Engineer with a strong background in mechanical design and 3D modelling to join an international technology company developing AI-powered security screening systems used to help protect people in high-security and high-traffic environments.

You will work closely with mechanical, electronics, software and other cross-disciplinary specialists to bring complex electro-mechanical products from technical requirements through design, prototyping and production.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Develop product layout designs for security screening equipment based on technical requirements
-   Design product enclosures and mechanical components using technologies including sheet metal processing, milling, turning, welding, 3D printing, injection moulding, thermoforming and extrusion
-   Perform basic strength simulations of critical components
-   Prepare technical documentation in accordance with relevant ISO standards
-   Support production and supervise the implementation of designs at different stages
-   Participate in the assembly of prototypes and pre-production samples
-   Identify opportunities for design optimisation and implement design improvements
-   Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams throughout the product lifecycle

## Requirements

-   University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
-   3–6 years of professional experience in mechanical design
-   Experience with SolidWorks CAD
-   Good knowledge of metal processing technologies, including sheet metal bending and cutting, turning and milling
-   Basic knowledge of plastic processing technologies, including 3D printing, injection moulding, thermoforming and extrusion
-   Good understanding of strength of materials
-   Knowledge of basic electrical engineering and electronics
-   Understanding of basic interchangeability principles and tolerances
-   Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
-   Good communication skills
-   Portfolio of relevant design work is highly appreciated
-   Native Russian and English at B1/B2 level
