## Description

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced **Consultant Visceral Surgeon** to provide advanced surgical care for patients with complex abdominal and gastrointestinal conditions. The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in **visceral, gastrointestinal, and laparoscopic surgery**, with strong experience managing complex surgical cases.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Evaluate, diagnose, and surgically manage complex **abdominal and gastrointestinal conditions**.
-   Perform elective and emergency visceral surgical procedures.
-   Manage conditions involving the **stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and biliary system**.
-   Perform advanced **laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures**.
-   Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
-   Perform complex abdominal and gastrointestinal surgeries within the scope of expertise.
-   Provide comprehensive post-operative and perioperative care.
-   Manage surgical emergencies including bowel obstruction, perforation, acute abdomen, gastrointestinal bleeding, and abdominal sepsis.
-   Review and interpret CT, MRI, ultrasound, endoscopy, pathology, and other diagnostic investigations.
-   Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other specialists.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and complex case discussions where appropriate.
-   Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, surgical options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, research, and continuing medical education.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Requirements

-   **MBBS or equivalent medical degree.**
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **General Surgery / Visceral Surgery / Gastrointestinal Surgery**, such as MS, MCh, DNB, FRCS, Arab Board, or equivalent.
-   Significant post-specialization experience with **Consultant-level surgical experience**.
-   Strong experience in visceral, gastrointestinal, and laparoscopic surgery.
-   Excellent surgical judgment, technical skills, and decision-making abilities.
-   Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
-   Surgical logbook may be required for licensing review of surgical specialties.
