## Description

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced **Specialist Neonatologist** to provide specialized medical care to newborns, including premature, critically ill, and high-risk infants. The ideal candidate should have strong NICU experience and expertise in neonatal stabilization, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive medical care to premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns.
-   Assess and manage neonates with **respiratory distress, sepsis, jaundice, birth asphyxia, congenital abnormalities, and metabolic disorders**.
-   Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization in delivery rooms and emergency situations.
-   Manage infants requiring **mechanical ventilation, CPAP, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory support**.
-   Monitor and manage critically ill neonates in the NICU.
-   Interpret laboratory investigations, blood gases, imaging, and other neonatal diagnostic tests.
-   Manage feeding, nutrition, fluid and electrolyte balance, and growth of premature and critically ill infants.
-   Provide care for low-birth-weight and extremely premature babies.
-   Identify and manage neonatal complications and coordinate specialist referrals when required.
-   Work closely with obstetricians, pediatric surgeons, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
-   Counsel parents regarding the baby's condition, treatment plan, prognosis, and follow-up requirements.
-   Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare standards.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, teaching, and continuing medical education.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Requirements

-   **MBBS or equivalent medical degree.**
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Pediatrics and/or Neonatology** such as MD, DNB, MRCPCH, Arab Board, or equivalent.
-   Relevant **Neonatology subspecialty training/fellowship** where applicable.
-   Minimum **3 years of relevant post-specialization clinical experience** preferred.
-   Strong NICU experience and neonatal critical-care skills.
-   Current **NRP certification** is highly desirable.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
