## Description

We are seeking a skilled **Specialist Gastrointestinal Surgeon** to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the surgical management of gastrointestinal and abdominal conditions, with experience in both open and minimally invasive procedures.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and surgically manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.
-   Perform elective and emergency gastrointestinal surgical procedures.
-   Manage conditions involving the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, and other abdominal organs.
-   Perform laparoscopic and minimally invasive gastrointestinal procedures where appropriate.
-   Manage gastrointestinal emergencies, including obstruction, perforation, bleeding, and acute abdominal conditions.
-   Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
-   Provide postoperative care and monitor patient recovery.
-   Manage surgical complications and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
-   Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists.
-   Counsel patients regarding treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and recovery.
-   Maintain accurate clinical and surgical documentation.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Requirements

-   MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
-   MS/DNB or equivalent postgraduate qualification in **General Surgery / Gastrointestinal Surgery**.
-   Minimum **3 years of post-specialization experience** preferred.
-   Strong experience in gastrointestinal and abdominal surgery.
-   Experience in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery is an advantage.
-   Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, and decision-making abilities.
-   Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
