## Description

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced **Specialist Gastroenterologist** to provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in gastroenterology, endoscopic procedures, and management of both acute and chronic GI conditions. Gastroenterology covers diseases of the digestive tract, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and biliary system.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Conduct comprehensive gastroenterology consultations and clinical assessments.
-   Diagnose and manage **GERD, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, IBS, IBD, hepatitis, fatty liver disease, pancreatitis, and other GI disorders**.
-   Perform and interpret **upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy** where appropriately trained.
-   Perform diagnostic biopsies and therapeutic endoscopic procedures within the scope of expertise.
-   Manage gastrointestinal bleeding and other acute GI emergencies.
-   Evaluate and manage liver, pancreatic, gallbladder, and biliary disorders.
-   Review and interpret laboratory tests, ultrasound, CT, MRI, pathology, and endoscopy findings.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
-   Manage chronic gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions through appropriate follow-up.
-   Perform advanced endoscopic procedures such as **ERCP, EUS, polypectomy, dilation, or stenting** where appropriately trained.
-   Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nutritionists, and other specialists.
-   Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care.
-   Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment documentation.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Requirements

-   **MBBS or equivalent medical degree.**
-   **MD / DNB / DM / MRCP / Arab Board or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology.**
-   Minimum **3 years of post-specialization clinical experience** preferred.
-   Strong experience in gastroenterology and endoscopic procedures.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and patient-management abilities.
-   Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
