## Description

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced **Specialist Sports Medicine Physician** to provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of sports-related and musculoskeletal conditions. The role includes injury management, rehabilitation planning, exercise guidance, and safe return-to-sport decisions.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Conduct comprehensive **sports and musculoskeletal assessments**.
-   Diagnose and manage acute and chronic sports injuries.
-   Treat conditions including **sprains, muscle strains, tendinopathies, ligament injuries, stress injuries, joint injuries, and overuse conditions**.
-   Evaluate and manage sports-related concussion and other exercise-related medical conditions.
-   Review and interpret **X-rays, MRI, CT, ultrasound, and other diagnostic investigations**.
-   Perform appropriate non-surgical procedures, including joint injections and ultrasound-guided interventions where qualified.
-   Develop individualized rehabilitation and return-to-sport programs.
-   Assess athletes for safe return to training and competition.
-   Conduct pre-participation health and fitness assessments.
-   Provide injury-prevention, exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle guidance.
-   Coordinate care with **orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, trainers, and other healthcare professionals**.
-   Provide medical support during sporting events when required.
-   Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in quality improvement, education, and continuing professional development.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Requirements

-   **MBBS or equivalent medical degree.**
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Sports Medicine / Sports & Exercise Medicine / Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation / Orthopedics** or a relevant equivalent specialty.
-   Additional fellowship or advanced training in **Sports Medicine** preferred.
-   Minimum **3 years of post-specialization clinical experience** preferred.
-   Strong experience in sports injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
-   Excellent musculoskeletal examination and clinical decision-making skills.
-   Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
