## Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Specialist / Consultant Anesthesiologist** with **Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience** to join a leading healthcare facility in Oman. The successful candidate will provide safe and effective anesthesia services, perioperative care, pain management, and critical care support for patients in the ICU, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for elective and emergency surgical procedures.
-   Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and formulate individualized anesthesia plans.
-   Monitor patients during surgical procedures and manage anesthesia-related complications.
-   Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management in the recovery unit.
-   Manage critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring.
-   Perform advanced airway management, central venous catheter insertion, arterial line placement, and other critical care procedures.
-   Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, emergency physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
-   Respond to medical emergencies, including trauma and cardiac arrest situations.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and anesthesia records.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality meetings, and continuing medical education (CME).
-   Ensure compliance with Oman Ministry of Health regulations, hospital policies, and international patient safety standards.
-   Participate in on-call duties and emergency coverage as required.

## Requirements

MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.

MD, DNB, Arab Board, FRCA, FCAI, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology.

**Eligibility for or possession of a valid Oman Ministry of Health (MoH) license**.

Minimum **5 years of post-specialization experience**, including significant experience in **Intensive Care Unit (ICU)** management.

Experience in managing critically ill adult patients and mechanical ventilation is essential.

Certification in **ACLS** is mandatory; Critical Care certification is an added advantage.

Excellent clinical judgment, crisis management, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
