## Description

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated **Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician / PM&R Specialist** to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in **physical medicine, rehabilitation medicine, musculoskeletal care, pain management, and functional recovery**, helping patients improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.

The successful candidate will work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, pain specialists, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Conduct comprehensive PM&R consultations and functional assessments.
-   Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal, neurological, and physical disabilities affecting mobility and function.
-   Develop individualized rehabilitation and treatment plans based on each patient's clinical condition and functional goals.
-   Evaluate patients with acute, chronic, and disabling conditions.
-   Manage musculoskeletal pain, back pain, neck pain, joint disorders, and sports-related injuries.
-   Assess and manage patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions.
-   Evaluate patients with mobility limitations, weakness, gait abnormalities, and functional impairment.
-   Provide appropriate non-surgical management for musculoskeletal and rehabilitation conditions.
-   Perform appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the physician's training, competence, and approved scope of practice.
-   Provide or coordinate appropriate pain-management interventions where clinically indicated.
-   Review and interpret relevant X-rays, MRI, CT scans, laboratory investigations, and other diagnostic studies.
-   Develop coordinated rehabilitation programs with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, nurses, and other allied health professionals.
-   Monitor patient progress and modify rehabilitation plans according to functional outcomes.
-   Provide appropriate patient and family education regarding rehabilitation, mobility, exercise, prevention, and long-term care.
-   Coordinate referrals to orthopedic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, rheumatology, pain medicine, or other specialties when required.
-   Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential medical records.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary rehabilitation meetings and case conferences.
-   Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, patient-safety initiatives, and continuing professional development.
-   Follow applicable UAE healthcare regulations, professional standards, clinical guidelines, and facility policies.

## Requirements

MBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.

Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Medicine, or an equivalent specialty**.

Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.

Strong experience in physical medicine, rehabilitation, and functional assessment.

Good knowledge of musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation.

Strong clinical reasoning and treatment-planning skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Patient-centered approach with a focus on functional outcomes and quality of life.
