## Description

We are looking for an experienced **Cardiac Anesthesia Specialist** to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in **cardiac anesthesia, cardiothoracic anesthesia, and perioperative management of patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic procedures**.

The successful candidate will work closely with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, perfusionists, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary cardiac team.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative anesthesia care for cardiac and cardiothoracic patients.
-   Conduct detailed pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluate patients' medical and surgical risks.
-   Develop individualized anesthesia plans based on patient condition, procedure, and clinical requirements.
-   Administer anesthesia for a broad range of cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
-   Provide anesthesia care for **CABG, valve repair and replacement, aortic surgery, thoracic procedures, and other cardiac interventions** within the approved scope of practice.
-   Monitor patients using appropriate standard and advanced hemodynamic monitoring techniques.
-   Manage complex cardiovascular and respiratory conditions during the perioperative period.
-   Perform and interpret **transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)** where appropriately trained and credentialed.
-   Manage hemodynamic instability and other critical intra-operative events.
-   Provide appropriate airway management and advanced anesthetic techniques.
-   Coordinate with the surgical and perfusion teams throughout cardiac procedures.
-   Provide post-operative anesthesia and critical care management in cardiac and surgical intensive care settings.
-   Manage post-operative pain and other anesthesia-related complications.
-   Assess and optimize high-risk patients before surgery.
-   Participate in emergency cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures when required.
-   Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
-   Follow strict infection-control, patient-safety, anesthesia, and clinical governance standards.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and continuing professional development.
-   Maintain compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, professional standards, and facility policies.

## Requirements

MBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.

Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Anesthesiology / Anaesthesiology**.

Relevant specialist experience in **Cardiac Anesthesia / Cardiothoracic Anesthesia**.

Strong experience providing anesthesia for cardiac and major thoracic procedures.

Excellent knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and perioperative management.

Strong airway management and critical-care skills.

Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work effectively within a high-acuity multidisciplinary cardiac team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
