## Description

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced **Specialist Spine Surgeon** to provide comprehensive diagnosis, surgical treatment, and follow-up care for patients with spinal and musculoskeletal disorders. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in spinal surgery, trauma management, and minimally invasive techniques.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Evaluate and diagnose patients with **degenerative, traumatic, congenital, and complex spinal conditions**.
-   Perform elective and emergency spinal surgical procedures within the scope of expertise.
-   Manage conditions including **disc herniation, spinal stenosis, spinal deformities, fractures, spinal tumors, and degenerative spine disease**.
-   Perform procedures such as spinal decompression, discectomy, fusion, and instrumentation where appropriately trained.
-   Utilize minimally invasive and modern spinal surgical techniques where applicable.
-   Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
-   Provide post-operative care and monitor patients for complications.
-   Review and interpret **X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and other spinal imaging investigations**.
-   Manage spinal trauma and acute neurological compromise in coordination with emergency and critical-care teams.
-   Coordinate rehabilitation and follow-up care with physiotherapists, neurologists, pain specialists, and rehabilitation physicians.
-   Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for complex spinal and musculoskeletal cases.
-   Counsel patients and families regarding treatment options, surgical risks, recovery, and rehabilitation.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare standards.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and continuing medical education.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Requirements

-   **MBBS or equivalent medical degree.**
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Orthopaedic Surgery / Neurosurgery / Spine Surgery**, such as MS, MCh, DNB, FRCS, Arab Board, or equivalent.
-   Relevant **spine surgery fellowship or advanced training** is highly desirable.
-   Minimum **3 years of post-specialization clinical experience** preferred.
-   Strong experience in spinal surgery and management of spinal trauma.
-   Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, and patient-management abilities.
-   Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
