## Description

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced **Specialist Ophthalmologist** to provide comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of ophthalmic conditions, with a patient-focused approach. Ophthalmologists provide comprehensive eye care, including diagnosis, medical treatment, and surgical management when indicated.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic consultations and eye examinations.
-   Diagnose and manage **cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal disorders, corneal conditions, dry eye, and other ocular diseases**.
-   Perform detailed anterior and posterior segment examinations.
-   Assess visual acuity, intraocular pressure, visual fields, and other relevant parameters.
-   Interpret **OCT, fundus imaging, visual fields, corneal topography, and other ophthalmic investigations**.
-   Develop individualized medical and surgical treatment plans.
-   Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries within the scope of expertise.
-   Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and monitor treatment outcomes.
-   Manage ophthalmic emergencies and acute eye conditions.
-   Prescribe appropriate medications, corrective lenses, and other treatments where indicated.
-   Identify ocular manifestations of systemic diseases and coordinate care with other specialists.
-   Counsel patients regarding treatment options, preventive eye care, and follow-up.
-   Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure high standards of patient care.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Requirements

-   **MBBS or equivalent medical degree.**
-   **MS / MD / DNB / DO / FRCS / Arab Board or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology.**
-   Minimum **3 years of post-specialization clinical experience** preferred.
-   Strong experience in comprehensive ophthalmology.
-   Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
-   Strong communication and patient-management abilities.
-   Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
