## Description

We are looking for an experienced and skilled **Specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon** to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in **oral surgery, maxillofacial surgery, dentoalveolar procedures, facial trauma, and comprehensive surgical management of oral and maxillofacial conditions**.

The successful candidate will work closely with dentists, orthodontists, prosthodontists, ENT specialists, plastic surgeons, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Conduct comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical consultations and clinical assessments.
-   Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for oral and maxillofacial conditions.
-   Perform surgical procedures within the physician's training, competence, and approved clinical scope.
-   Perform routine and complex **dentoalveolar surgery**, including surgical removal of impacted teeth.
-   Manage complicated dental extractions and surgical dental conditions.
-   Evaluate and manage patients with oral infections, cysts, benign lesions, and other maxillofacial conditions.
-   Assess and manage facial trauma and associated soft-tissue and bony injuries where appropriately trained.
-   Perform appropriate pre-operative and post-operative assessments.
-   Evaluate patients requiring dental implant-related surgical procedures and coordinate treatment with restorative dental specialists.
-   Review and interpret dental radiographs, panoramic imaging, CBCT, CT, MRI, and other relevant diagnostic studies.
-   Manage surgical complications and provide appropriate follow-up care.
-   Provide appropriate emergency assessment and management of acute oral and maxillofacial conditions.
-   Collaborate with orthodontists and other specialists in cases requiring multidisciplinary treatment.
-   Communicate treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes clearly to patients.
-   Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential clinical records.
-   Follow strict infection-control and patient-safety standards.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, and continuing professional development.
-   Maintain compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, professional standards, and facility policies.

## Requirements

BDS, DDS, DMD, MBBS, or equivalent recognized qualification appropriate to the specialty.

Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery** or an equivalent recognized specialty qualification.

Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.

Strong experience in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.

Excellent clinical assessment and surgical decision-making skills.

Strong knowledge of modern oral surgery and maxillofacial surgical techniques.

Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
