## Description

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated **Specialist Physician – Acute Medicine** to join a reputed healthcare facility in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in assessing and managing patients presenting with acute and complex medical conditions, with the ability to make timely clinical decisions and coordinate care across multiple specialties.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Assess and manage patients presenting with acute medical conditions.
-   Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations and establish appropriate diagnoses.
-   Provide timely treatment and stabilization for acutely unwell patients.
-   Manage a broad range of acute presentations including respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, neurological, infectious, and metabolic conditions.
-   Assess patients presenting with chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, fever, sepsis, altered mental status, and other acute medical complaints.
-   Review and interpret laboratory investigations, ECGs, radiology, and other diagnostic studies.
-   Identify patients requiring emergency intervention, intensive care, or specialist referral.
-   Coordinate patient care with Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, ICU, Cardiology, Neurology, Surgery, and other relevant departments.
-   Develop evidence-based treatment and monitoring plans.
-   Monitor patients' clinical progress and adjust treatment according to changing clinical conditions.
-   Perform appropriate bedside procedures within the physician's training, competence, and approved scope of practice.
-   Provide safe handover and continuity of care between clinical teams.
-   Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential medical records.
-   Communicate clinical findings, treatment plans, and prognosis clearly with patients and their families.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, and patient-safety initiatives.
-   Support appropriate admission, discharge, referral, and follow-up planning.
-   Follow applicable healthcare regulations, clinical guidelines, infection-control standards, and facility policies.

## Requirements

MBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.

Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Internal Medicine / Acute Medicine** or an appropriate related specialty.

Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.

Strong experience in managing acutely ill adult patients.

Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Strong knowledge of acute medical management and patient stabilization.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
