**Salary:** USD 95,000–115,000

**Workplace:** remote

**Department:** Fractional App

## Description

**Senior Operations Lead (Tax & Compliance Focus)**

**Fractional Homes Inc. | Fully Remote (U.S.) | $95,000–$115,000 base + performance bonus**

**About Fractional**

Fractional is a Series A fintech platform built around a simple idea: everyday investors should be able to co-invest in real estate, businesses, and loans without the legal complexity and cost that usually locks them out. We've built the infrastructure, compliance, entity management, tax operations, distributions, so investment clubs can form and operate at scale. We're backed by Fifth Wall, Y Combinator, Will Smith, and Kevin Durant, and we're growing fast toward our next funding milestone.

Our Operations team is the operational backbone that makes every club member's experience real. That's where you come in.

**The Role**

We're hiring a **Senior Operations Lead (Tax & Compliance Focus)** to own the functions that matter most to our club members after they've raised capital: K-1 season project management, financial distributions and reconciliation, entity compliance, and member-facing support.

This is a fully autonomous individual contributor role. You will not be handed a playbook, you'll write it. You'll manage the relationship with our third-party CPA firm, coordinate partnership tax returns across thousands of entities and investors (and growing every year), process and reconcile club distributions, and maintain multi-state entity compliance. You'll also own a shared Zendesk support queue, partnering daily with our Engineering team to resolve platform issues.

**What You'll Own**

**K-1 Season & Partnership Tax Coordination**

- Own end-to-end K-1 project management, coordinate partnership tax returns across thousands of entities and investors with a hard March 15th delivery deadline
- Manage the relationship with our third-party CPA firm — set milestones, surface blockers, hold the partnership accountable
- Collect and organize financial records, cap table documentation, and entity filings from club leaders
- Review completed 1065s and K-1s for accuracy; manage delivery to investors

**Club Distributions & Financial Reconciliation**

- Monitor the distributions calendar and process distributions on the platform
- Reconcile against source records; diagnose and resolve discrepancies
- File engineering tickets for platform-related issues; create custom transaction summaries as needed

**Entity Compliance**

- Manage annual and franchise tax reports across multiple states
- Track platform fees and support accounts receivable as properties transition
- Support closings-to-operations onboarding documentation

**Member Support & Zendesk Queue**

- Share ownership of the Zendesk queue with a 48-hour SLA
- Respond to investor and club leader inquiries on K-1s, distributions, and account questions
- Escalate platform bugs to Engineering; use ticket patterns to flag systemic improvements

## Requirements

**You're the Right Fit If:**

- You have 2–5 years of accounting, finance, or fintech operations experience, you understand reconciliation, debits and credits, and why the small discrepancies are often the big ones
- K-1s, 1065s, and partnership tax structures are familiar territory not something you'd need to look up
- You've managed an external vendor relationship and held them to a deadline, not just followed their lead
- You build the tracker when there isn't one. You write the SOP. You don't wait to be asked.
- You actively use AI tools; specific tools, specific use cases, and you've measurably changed how you work because of them
- You communicate clearly and professionally with assertive, experienced investors and business operators
- You've worked in a lean startup or high-ambiguity environment and found it energizing rather than overwhelming

**Strong Differentiators:**

- Hands-on TaxDome or comparable tax workflow platform experience
- Multi-state entity compliance exposure
- Real estate investing, fund administration, or syndication operations background
- K-1 season project management with defined milestones and stakeholder accountability

**Why This Role Is Senior**

You're managing multi-state compliance, multi-party tax coordination, financial workflows that touch real investors' money, and a shared support queue, all simultaneously, all autonomously. This is connective tissue between operations, engineering, and external accounting partners. We need someone who can operate at that level, not someone who needs it defined for them.

## Benefits

**Compensation & Benefits**

- **Base:** $95,000–$115,000 depending on experience
- **Bonus:** Performance-based; total comp target ~$135,000
- **Health, dental, and medical insurance**
- **401(k)**
- **Unlimited PTO**
- **Bi-annual company off-sites**
- **Fully remote** — US only, any time zone

**Tools We Use** Zendesk, TaxDome, Retool, Asana, Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Claude, ChatGPT, Manus, Zoom
