> Team Architects · Mechanicsburg, United States · Full-time · Posted 2026-06-30

**Salary:** USD 80,000–110,000

**Workplace:** on_site

**Department:** The Snook Group

## Description

**About The Snook Group**

The Snook Group is a growing, independent financial planning firm in Mechanicsburg, PA dedicated to wholistic financial planning. Our team of approximately 30 professionals — advisors, planners, client services, and operations — works collaboratively to deliver comprehensive, client-centered financial plans.

We’re a young, energetic, family-oriented group that takes the quality of our work and the quality of our culture equally seriously. People here don’t have an hourly mentality — they care about doing the work right.

**The Opportunity**

We’re looking for an experienced financial planning professional to step into a Senior Paraplanner role — what we call a Senior Case Consultant internally. This person is the engine room of our planning department: building comprehensive financial plans from start to finish, supporting our advisors with polished, deadline-driven deliverables, and serving as a technical mentor to two junior planners who are early in their careers.

The right person thinks like a puzzle solver. They pick up a wide array of client facts — investment statements, income, tax situations, account structures — and assemble them into a complete, well-organized financial picture that an advisor can pick up and walk into a meeting with confidence.

We welcome candidates from a range of financial planning backgrounds, including independent RIAs, insurance-based planning practices, wealth management divisions, and MassMutual general agencies. What matters most is demonstrated holistic planning experience — not transactional or product-driven work, but the ability to see a client’s complete financial picture and build it from scratch.

**What You’ll Do**

- Build and maintain comprehensive, multi-area financial plans covering investments, retirement, tax planning, and cash flow analysis
- Prepare all client deliverables on a defined production schedule — plans go to clients 1–2 weeks before advisor meetings
- Support advisors with pre-meeting preparation and post-meeting follow-up, including plan refinements and client communications
- Identify planning opportunities — not just what’s in front of you, but what could genuinely benefit the client
- Mentor and guide two junior case consultants, reviewing their work and accelerating their development
- Maintain accurate client records across CRM, planning platforms, and portfolio systems
- Collaborate with the team on process improvements — your input will be heard and acted on

## Requirements

**Required:**

- 3–5 years of experience in financial services, with at least 2–4 years in a financial planning or paraplanning role
- Deep, working knowledge of financial planning concepts: retirement planning, investment basics, tax implications, Social Security, account registrations (IRAs, Roth IRAs, 401(k)s, pensions), and cash flow analysis
- The ability to think holistically — you understand how all the pieces of a client’s financial life connect
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, OneDrive)
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple plans under deadline pressure
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- A team-first mindset and a genuine interest in helping others grow

**Preferred:**

- CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation — highly valued
- Series 7 and 66 licenses, or willingness to obtain within 9 months
- Life, Health, and Accident Insurance licenses, or willingness to obtain within 3 months
- Experience with RightCapital, Morningstar, eMoney, Advisor360, Envestnet, or similar planning platforms — if you’ve used any planning software, you can learn ours
- Background at an independent RIA, insurance-based planning firm, MassMutual general agency, or wealth management practice with full planning scope
- Experience in a mentoring or senior contributor capacity

## Benefits

- Base salary: $80,000–$110,000 depending on experience
- Quarterly team performance bonus — when we hit our goals as a firm, you share in that success
- Year-end individual performance bonus potential
- Comprehensive benefits: Health, Life, Disability, Dental, and Vision insurance
- 401(k) with Safe Harbor employer match
- Paid time off and holidays
- Professional development and continuing education support

**Culture & Work Environment**

Our team skews young (most are in their late 20s to mid-30s), works hard, and genuinely supports each other. We’ve built something where people don’t have an hourly mentality — they care about doing the work right, not just getting through the day. If you’re self-directed, technically sharp, collaborative by nature, and energized by being part of a team that’s building something together, you’ll fit here.

This is a full-time, in-person role at our Mechanicsburg, PA office, Monday through Friday. Background check and fingerprinting required upon offer.

To apply, submit your resume through this posting. Qualified candidates will be contacted directly.
