**About the Company**

A CTO-led product studio for startups and scaleups, headquartered in Sydney Australia. They pair CTO-level decision-making with a lean, senior delivery team that ships — MVPs, AI features and product builds in weeks, not quarters.

They're a small, fully remote team spread across Australia, the Philippines and Argentina — no juniors, no bloat, and no bait-and-switch: the people our clients meet are the people in the repo. They combine senior engineers with AI-powered velocity, and there not afraid to tell a client "don't build that" when it's the right call.

**The Role**

They're looking for a Tech Lead who leads projects, not just people. You'll own the technical delivery of client engagements end to end: architecture, hands-on development, sprint demos, and day-to-day client communication. You'll be the technical face of Wobbit in front of founders, CTOs and product leaders at startups and scaleups.

One of the promises to clients is "who you meet is who builds" — so the person in the pitch is the person in the repo. That's you.

This is a hands-on role. You'll spend the majority of your time writing code, with the rest spent leading delivery and working directly with clients.

**What You'll Do**

-   Lead the technical delivery of client projects across 2-week sprint cycles — from kickoff to launch
-   Design and build full-stack applications in TypeScript, Node.js and React (React Native where projects call for it)
-   Run sprint demos and showcases directly with clients
-   Own day-to-day client communication over Slack and email — updates, clarifications, managing expectations
-   Contribute to technical proposals, scoping and estimates for new engagements
-   Make pragmatic architecture and technology decisions that balance speed with quality
-   Set the technical bar for the team — code reviews, standards, and guiding other engineers on your projects
-   Use AI-assisted development tooling (Claude Code, Cursor or similar) as a core part of your daily workflow

## Requirements

-   8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior-most capacity on a team or project
-   Deep, current, hands-on expertise in TypeScript, Node.js and React — you've shipped production web applications end to end
-   Exceptional English communication — both written and verbal. You can explain technical trade-offs to non-technical founders, write clear client updates, and hold your own in a demo or scoping call. This is non-negotiable; you will be client-facing from day one.
-   Daily, hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) — you know how to use them to move fast without sacrificing quality
-   Proven self-management — you've worked in fully remote, low-supervision environments and delivered without someone checking in on you
-   Client-facing experience — you've presented work, run demos, or communicated directly with clients or external stakeholders

**Nice-to-Haves**

-   AWS experience (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, CDK/Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
-   React Native in production, including releases through the App Store / Google Play
-   Next.js in production
-   Agency, consultancy or product studio background — you're comfortable juggling client context
-   Early-stage startup experience — you know what "good enough to ship" looks like

**Working Arrangements**

-   Fully remote, working from anywhere in the Philippines — Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao or elsewhere
-   Async-first with a high degree of flexibility — we care about outcomes, not hours online
-   Some availability during Sydney (AEST) business hours will be needed for client demos and key meetings, scheduled in advance
-   Full-time commitment (38 hours/week equivalent)
