## Description

**TERNA ENERGY, a member of the MASDAR Group, is seeking:**

**Senior Accountant**

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Maintain and oversee the chart of accounts, ensuring accurate financial records and monthly provisions, according to Greek GAAP & IFRS.
-   Manage reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
-   Support the preparation and submission of monthly & annual tax returns (VAT, WHT, Income Tax etc.).
-   Ensure My Data platform compliance.
-   Perform the preparation of Statutory Financial Statements in accordance with GAAP (knowledge of IFRS is a plus).
-   Support the year-end audit process and coordinate with external auditors, ensuring smooth completion.
-   Liaise with all parties involved in various accounting & tax issues (banks. external consultants etc.).
-   Ensure the implementation of company policies, investor requirements, and regulatory standards.
-   Participate in the preparation of budget and cash flow.
-   Handle ad hoc financial requests across departments.
-   Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
-   Assist with system enhancements and modifications to improve financial reporting.

**Qualifications:**

-   BA in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and/or related subjects.
-   Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification are desirable.
-   Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience (Big 4 experience is a plus).
-   Good knowledge of IFRS, Greek GAAP, and Tax Law.
-   Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written).
-   Advanced MS Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (Knowledge of the SAP ERP system will be considered an asset).
-   Organizational skills, track record of meeting deadlines consistently, sense of responsibility, and team-oriented mindset.
