The Arc of Ocean County is looking for compassionate, dependable, and motivated **Program Assistants** to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential programs throughout Ocean County.

As a Program Assistant, you'll help individuals build life skills, enjoy meaningful experiences, and maintain their independence while living in safe, welcoming homes. ### Position Information

**Employment Type:** Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available

**Schedule:** Evening Shift | **3:00 PM – 11:00 PM**

**Weekend Availability Required**

**Pay:** **$20.70 – $24.70 per hour**

**Pay Schedule:** Bi-Weekly

### Your Responsibilities

### Build Meaningful Relationships

-   Provide person-centered support that encourages independence, confidence, and personal choice.
-   Develop positive, respectful relationships with individuals while promoting dignity and inclusion.
-   Encourage participation in daily routines, hobbies, recreational activities, and community events.

### Support Daily Home Life

-   Assist with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, housekeeping, laundry, and other activities of daily living.
-   Help maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable residential environment.
-   Promote healthy routines that support each individual's well-being and independence.

### Promote Safety & Well-Being

-   Monitor individuals' physical, emotional, and behavioral needs while responding appropriately to changing situations.
-   Follow individualized support plans and agency procedures to ensure quality care.
-   Safely transport individuals to appointments, recreational outings, and community activities using agency vehicles when assigned.

### Keep Services Running Smoothly

-   Complete electronic documentation, daily service notes, medication records, and required reports accurately and on time.
-   Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
-   Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on providing exceptional residential services.

## Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

-   Must be at least 18 years of age.
-   High School Diploma or GED required.
-   Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five (5) motor vehicle points.
-   Demonstrated employment stability preferred, including at least one (1) year with a previous employer.
-   Ability to successfully complete all required background checks, screenings, and agency onboarding requirements.
-   Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently while demonstrating professionalism, flexibility, and sound judgment.
