The Arc of Ocean County is seeking a dedicated Assistant Group Home Manager to help lead one of our residential homes supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Working closely with the Residential Program Manager, you'll play an essential role in maintaining high-quality services, supporting Direct Support Professionals, and ensuring each individual receives compassionate, person-centered care in a safe and welcoming home.

### What You'll Be Responsible For

### Guide & Support Your Team

-   Partner with the Residential Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of the residence.
-   Provide leadership and decision-making support during evenings, weekends, and in the Manager's absence.
-   Coach, mentor, and supervise Direct Support Professionals to promote quality care and professional growth.
-   Assist with employee scheduling, shift coverage, orientation, and required training.
-   Help cultivate a respectful, accountable, and team-oriented workplace culture.

### Promote Individual Success

-   Assist individuals with developing independent living, social, and daily living skills.
-   Encourage participation in employment, recreational, educational, and community activities that support personal goals.
-   Help implement and monitor Individual Habilitation Plans (IHPs) while documenting progress toward outcomes.
-   Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with families, guardians, and service providers.
-   Reinforce positive behavioral supports while encouraging choice, dignity, and independence.

### Maintain a Safe & Compliant Home

-   Help ensure the residence remains clean, organized, and compliant with agency and regulatory standards.
-   Monitor medical appointments, medication documentation, and coordination of healthcare services.
-   Review daily documentation, communication logs, and required electronic records for completeness and accuracy.
-   Support compliance with DDD, DHS, DCF, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
-   Assist during inspections, audits, investigations, and quality improvement initiatives.

### Assist with Program Operations

-   Support household budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, and other operational responsibilities.
-   Complete reports and administrative tasks within established deadlines.
-   Exercise sound judgment while responding to changing situations and participant needs.
-   Perform additional responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the residential program.

### Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess:

-   A High School Diploma or GED.
-   At least two (2) years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
-   A valid New Jersey driver's license with no more than five (5) motor vehicle points.
-   Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
-   Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
-   The ability to motivate staff while maintaining a positive, person-centered environment.
-   Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and adjust schedules as program needs require.
-   The ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including assisting individuals with mobility and other daily support needs.
