## Description

The Flowery is seeking enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Budtenders to join our growing team in Newburgh, NY.

As a Budtender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, educating customers on cannabis products, driving sales, and maintaining a welcoming, professional, and compliant retail environment.

### Key Responsibilities

**Customer Service & Sales**

-   Greet every customer with a welcoming and professional attitude.
-   Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their preferences and needs.
-   Educate customers on product categories, strains, cannabinoids, terpenes, and consumption methods.
-   Recommend complementary products and promotional offers to increase average transaction value.
-   Meet individual and team sales goals.
-   Maintain a positive, efficient, and personalized customer experience.

**Store Operations**

-   Accurately process transactions through the Dutchie POS system.
-   Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with New York State cannabis regulations.
-   Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and register accountability.
-   Restock merchandise, organize displays, and maintain product presentation standards.
-   Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
-   Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor.
-   Follow company policies regarding inventory handling, security, and loss prevention.

**Product Knowledge & Teamwork**

-   Stay informed about new cannabis products, brands, promotions, and industry trends.
-   Participate in mandatory training sessions and vendor product education.
-   Communicate effectively with management and fellow team members.
-   Support store events, brand activations, and promotional initiatives.
-   Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability during every shift.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Requirements

-   Must be at least 21 years of age.
-   Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales.
-   Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required.
-   Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment preferred.
-   Comfortable using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
-   Knowledge of cannabis strains, cannabinoids, terpenes, and consumption methods is a plus.
-   Experience with consultative selling preferred.
-   Experience upselling complementary products.
-   Experience educating first-time shoppers.
-   Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine retail duties.
-   Must have reliable transportation.
-   **Weekend availability is required.**
-   Must be willing to work evenings and holidays as business needs require.
-   Must meet applicable New York State cannabis employee eligibility and training requirements.
