**Position Summary**

We're on the hunt for a licensed, compassionate Dental Hygienist ready to make a real difference in our patients' lives! You'll provide top-notch preventive dental care, educate patients on oral health, and work side-by-side with Dr. Parlitsis to deliver outstanding clinical care. **Key Responsibilities**

_**Clinical Duties**_

✓      Perform dental cleanings, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planning

✓      Conduct periodontal assessments and charting

✓      Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with regulations

✓      Administer preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants

✓      Identify signs of oral disease and communicate findings to the dentist

_**Patient Education**_

✓      Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care

✓      Discuss treatment plans and reinforce the dentist’s recommendations

✓      Provide post-treatment care instructions

_**Clinical Support & Compliance**_

✓      Maintain accurate and thorough patient records

✓      Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols

✓      Sterilize and maintain instruments and operatory cleanliness

✓      Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow

## Requirements

**Qualifications**

_**Required**_

✓      Valid Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of New York

✓      Current CPR/BLS certification

✓      Ability to administer local anesthesia (as permitted under New York state law)

_**Preferred**_

✓      Previous experience in a dental or clinical setting

✓      Experience with periodontal therapy and patient education programs
