## Description

### About us

We’re the team behind digital retailer [Very](http://www.very.co.uk/).

Our purpose, helping families get more out of life, powers everything we do.

And we want our people to get more out of life too! If you’re high-performing, ambitious and make the most of every opportunity, we want to hear from you. In return, you’ll enjoy heaps of flexibility, great perks and benefits, and the freedom to be yourself, keep learning and take your career wherever you want it to go.

If you love making a difference, you’ll love making it sparkle for millions of Very customers. ✨

### About the role

We’re looking for a Head of Digital Product, CRO & UX to help shape the future of Very.

This is an opportunity to lead our digital product strategy, customer experience and experimentation across Web and App, with a clear goal: creating better experiences for our customers while delivering measurable improvements in conversion, customer value and satisfaction.

You’ll own the direction and performance of our digital product portfolio, looking across the whole customer journey, from discovering products and joining Very through to shopping and managing an ongoing relationship with us. You’ll turn our growth ambitions into clear priorities, investment decisions and outcomes.

It’s a broad leadership role covering Product, User Experience, Research and Experimentation. You’ll also help shape how we use AI and personalisation to create more relevant Web and App experiences, making sure promising ideas demonstrate real customer and commercial value before we scale them.

If you enjoy bringing together customer insight, product thinking and commercial judgement to make meaningful decisions, there’s plenty here to get excited about.

**What you'll be doing:**

You’ll set a clear direction for our digital experience and give teams the focus and autonomy to turn that strategy into measurable results.

You’ll:

- Own our digital product and experience strategy, setting the vision across Web and App and aligning roadmaps and investment to our growth plans.

- Drive commercial improvement, helping Product and Experimentation make a measurable contribution to conversion and growth.

- Lead our CRO and experimentation strategy, setting the ambition for how we test, learn and optimise across our digital journeys.

- Improve the journeys our customers use every day, from discovery and consideration through onboarding, checkout and account management.

- Lead Product, UX, Research and Experimentation capability, creating high standards while helping teams use customer insight, data and experimentation to make better decisions.

- Set priorities and investment choices, concentrating capacity and budget on the opportunities with the greatest potential customer and commercial value.

- Bring teams together around change, working across Technology, Delivery and the wider business to remove dependencies and create shared ownership of outcomes.

- Build for the future, developing our approach to AI, personalisation and App growth while strengthening internal capability and strategic partner relationships.

### About you

This is a senior leadership role, so we’re looking for someone who can move comfortably between strategy, commercial outcomes, customer experience and people leadership.

You’ll bring:

- Significant experience leading digital product portfolios, ideally within ecommerce, retail or another customer-facing business.

- A track record of turning business strategy into product direction and measurable commercial results.

- Experience leading multiple squads and developing Product Managers, senior specialists and discipline leaders.

- Strong experience across UX and Research, using genuine customer understanding to influence important decisions.

- A strong grasp of experimentation and measurement, including experience scaling experimentation to create customer and commercial value.

- Commercial curiosity and the ability to think across conversion, profitability and long-term customer value, rather than optimising an individual metric in isolation.

- Evidence of leading complex cross-functional change, influencing senior stakeholders and making clear decisions when there are competing priorities.
