This **part-time, in-person** position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to support students from **PreK through 12th grade** as part of a collaborative special education team. Responsibilities include: - Providing direct physical therapy services to students with a variety of physical and developmental needs - Performing evaluations using observational methods along with standardized and informal assessment tools - Developing therapy recommendations and contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) - Monitoring student progress and modifying treatment plans based on functional outcomes - Providing consultation to teachers, families, and school teams regarding mobility, positioning, equipment, and classroom participation - Managing therapy documentation, case management responsibilities, and progress reporting - Supervising a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) while ensuring quality service delivery and compliance with state practice standards - Selecting and implementing therapeutic exercises, developmental interventions, and manual therapy techniques appropriate for each student's educational needs ### **Qualifications** Candidates should have: - Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited university - Current Physical Therapist license - Department of Education certification or credential, when required - APTA membership or certification preferred - Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations - Strong understanding of pediatric development, gross motor skills, functional mobility, and sensory-perceptual development - Experience identifying physical and developmental challenges that impact educational performance - Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills - Proficiency with technology and electronic documentation - Fingerprint clearance and successful background screening - Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality ### **Physical Demands** The position requires active movement throughout school environments.
