## Requirements

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a **Physical Therapist (PT)** to provide school-based services in **Tulsa, Oklahoma** for the **2026–2027 school year**. This **part-time, in-person** position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to support students from **PreK through 12th grade** as part of a collaborative special education team.

### **Position Details**

### **Role Responsibilities**

As the school-based Physical Therapist, you will partner with educators, families, and related service providers.

Responsibilities include:

-   Providing direct physical therapy services to students with a variety of physical and developmental needs
-   Performing evaluations using observational methods along with standardized and informal assessment tools
-   Developing therapy recommendations and contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-   Monitoring student progress and modifying treatment plans based on functional outcomes
-   Providing consultation to teachers, families, and school teams regarding mobility, positioning, equipment, and classroom participation
-   Managing therapy documentation, case management responsibilities, and progress reporting
-   Supervising a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) while ensuring quality service delivery and compliance with state practice standards
-   Selecting and implementing therapeutic exercises, developmental interventions, and manual therapy techniques appropriate for each student's educational needs

### **Qualifications**

Candidates should have:

-   Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
-   Current Physical Therapist license
-   Department of Education certification or credential, when required
-   APTA membership or certification preferred
-   Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations
-   Strong understanding of pediatric development, gross motor skills, functional mobility, and sensory-perceptual development
-   Experience identifying physical and developmental challenges that impact educational performance
-   Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
-   Proficiency with technology and electronic documentation
-   Fingerprint clearance and successful background screening
-   Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

### **Physical Demands**

The position requires active movement throughout school environments. Candidates should be comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, sitting, lifting, reaching, crawling, and physically assisting students during therapy sessions and school activities while following district safety guidelines.

### **Compensation**

-   **$65–$75+ per hour**, depending on experience
-   **Estimated weekly earnings of $390–$450+**
