The position will focus on Oracle Application Express (APEX) development for the Virginia Vital Events and Screening Tracking System (VVESTS). - VVESTS supports mission-critical functions including the Birth Registry, Death Registry (EDRS), and Screening Registry. - The system integrates with state partners including LVA, DSS, DMV, and DCLS, as well as federal agencies including SSA, CDC, NCHS, and NAPHSIS. - The role supports modernization and enhancement of an application that manages sensitive PII and PHI data. - 5+ years of experience with Oracle 11g, 18c, or 19c databases. - 5+ years of strong SQL and PL/SQL experience. - 5+ years of experience with JavaScript or jQuery. - 5+ years of Oracle APEX development experience. - Experience developing, enhancing, troubleshooting, and maintaining database-driven enterprise applications. - Ability to work with sensitive data and follow applicable security and privacy requirements. - Ability to work effectively as part of a technical team. - Must physically reside within the United States for the duration of the assignment. - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future. - **Contract Type:** 1099 Contract. - **Benefits:** No benefits are provided with this 1099 Contract role. - Candidate maximum rate is calculated by reducing the vendor maximum bill rate by 21.25% and rounding down to the nearest whole dollar. -
