## Description

Our client, a Global Healthcare and Crop Science Innovation company, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to provide essential support to their team. The Quality Control Assistant is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, processes, and services meet established quality standards and customer requirements. The role involves inspecting incoming materials, monitoring production activities, conducting tests and audits, documenting findings, and supporting corrective and preventive actions. The Quality Control Officer works closely with production, warehouse, procurement, and management teams to reduce defects, improve consistency, and maintain compliance with company procedures and applicable regulations.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.

-   Monitor production and operational processes to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities.

-   Record inspection and testing results accurately and maintain up-to-date quality control documentation.
-   Prepare quality reports, non-conformance reports, inspection logs, and related records.
-   Assist in investigating quality complaints, product failures, and process issues to determine root causes.
-   Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address identified quality issues.
-   Participate in internal audits, process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
-   Collaborate with production to resolve quality concerns.
-   Verify that products are labeled, packed, stored, and released according to approved quality requirements.
-   Promote compliance with safety, hygiene, housekeeping, and regulatory requirements in the workplace.
-   Escalate critical quality concerns promptly to the relevant supervisor or manager.

## Requirements

-   A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related fields.

-   Must be a registered member of the Agricultural Institute of Zambia (AIZ).

-    Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
-   Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
-   Ability to identify defects, trends, and non-conformities quickly and accurately.
-   Sound report writing and record-keeping skills.
-   Good verbal and written communication skills.
-   Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-   Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft excel.
-   Knowledge of inspection tools, measuring devices, and testing methods relevant to the work environment.
-   Understanding of root cause analysis and continuous improvement principles.
-   Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
-   Integrity, accountability, and a commitment to maintaining standards.
