The incumbent will be responsible for leading and driving Agri Business in Africa in terms of developing, managing, and leveraging key supplier/buyer relationships. Manage relationships with exporters and traders for price negotiation and vendor management. Plan and monitor the shipment schedules as per end user requirements. Identify the supply chain synergy areas to optimize resource productivity.  

-   Procurement & export of eligible agri products (RCN & others) from Tanzania / East Africa including exposure to Govt auction processes..
-   Liasoning with suppliers of agri commodities  FOB /CnF export contracts & factories for supply of kernels.  End to end commercial negotiations with all stakeholders.   Monitor the process including quality of stock before stuffing for shipment & follow up for timely documentation
-   Supervise a small local team to achieve smooth export & documentation of contracted goods from all suppliers.
-   Procurement of agri goods, packing and other materials is done maintaining cost efficiency/ quality by proper planning and price negotiation.
-   Ensure commodity procured with the best possible rates.
-   Ensure Internal Quality Check is conducted on each consignment lot and records are maintained
-   Reports regarding the quantities of commodities and other reports as advised on requirements. Such as, **1> procured 2> Cleaned 3> Stocked 4> Dispatched**
-   **Vendor Management:** Maintain relationship with cleaning vendors, CHA, freight forwarders, and labor contractors
-   **Documentation:** Ensuring documentation is completed at every stage in a timely manner
-   **Logistics:** Arranging containers as per booking done by the logistic team
-   Handling local matters and Logistics -coordination with freight forwarders
-   Responsible for all the warehouse, procurement, operations activities in the region

-   Responsible for all types of ground coordination and reporting of daily status report to management
-   Language – Fluent in English (R/W/S).   Working knowledge of the local Swahili language is preferred but not a must.  
    

Work Experience:  

-   **7-10 years in Tanzania** (East Africa region) Agri trading experience as export manager (procurement+ logistic + documentation) medium-to-large international trading business.  
    

Qualification:  

-   Graduate /Postgraduate in Procurement/Supply Change Management/International Trade, as long as has good exposure of the commodities in Tanzania and surrounding countries.  
    

Skills:

-   Networking within the commodities world, including exporters, traders and the industry buyers
-   Ability to manage existing client accounts and develop relationships with new clients.
-   Fluent in English; both verbal and written, Working knowledge of Swahili will be an added advantage.
-   Hungry to succeed. Go getter attitude.
-   Team Player with strong commercial acumen.
-   Good analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
-   Excellent presentation skills
-   Keen sense of priorities to meet short deadlines
