## Description

Job Title: Staff Accountant

Schedule: Full-time, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST, with a 30-minute break 

Location: Remote

Role Overview

Our partner is a professional CPA firm specializing in delivering high-quality tax advisory, tax minimization strategies, tax filing, and accounting services to our clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team and support both corporate and personal tax and bookkeeping functions.   

Key Responsibilities

-   Prepare corporate and personal tax returns under supervision, with opportunities to build deeper tax expertise
-   Assist in year-end bookkeeping and accounting processes under guidance
-   Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting
-   Support tax advisory work and financial calculations using Excel and Google/MS Suite tools
-   Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records in collaboration with the accounting team
-   Participate in continuous learning related to tax regulations, accounting standards, and best practices
-   Perform other administrative or ad-hoc accounting tasks as required

## Requirements

Experience:

-   Experience in preparing corporate and/or personal tax returns
-   Background in bookkeeping and general accounting functions
-   Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace/MS Office Suite
-   Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks
-   Good written and verbal communication skills
-   High level of accuracy and confidentiality in handling financial data
-   Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting systems, tools, and tax regulations
-   Prior experience in an accounting or CPA firm is an advantage
-   Knowledge of tax software (e.g., TaxCycle) is a plus

### Nice to Have

-   Experience working with Canadian accounting standards
-   Exposure to advisory or high-growth firm environments
-   Experience supporting accountants or controllers in month-end close processes
