**Make a Real Impact as a Communication Support Worker**

  
Are you a calm and passionate SEN practitioner, making a difference in the lives of adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? We are looking for experienced communication support workers who specialise in communication and sensory intervention to join our team. You’ll provide personalised, 1:1 or small group support at an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Level in communication, Maths and English for SEN students. These in-person sessions in Finsbury Park offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

-   **Day(s) and Time(s):** Monday - Friday, 11am-12.30pm
-   **Hours:** up to 7.5 hours per week
-   **Subject and Level:** EYFS Maths, English, Communication and Sensory Activities
-   **Start date:** As soon as possible
-   **Contract Length:** Indefinite
-   **Rate of Pay:** £35 p/h

**What You'll Do**

-   Deliver highly personalised 1:1 sessions focused on:

-   Functional communication
-   Early-stage English and Maths (EYFS level)
-   Engagement and attention to learning
-   Use multi-sensory and communication-based approaches
-   Adapt learning to suit processing, sensory and regulation needs
-   Implement and model clear boundaries and behaviour support strategies
-   Work collaboratively with coordinators and caregivers
-   Track progress in small, meaningful steps
-   Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in
-   Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager

## Requirements

**We're looking for someone who has:**

We welcome applications from candidates without a degree, provided you have substantial relevant experience.

**Essential:**

-   4+ years of experience supporting individuals with complex SEN (ASD and severe learning difficulties)
-   Experience working with learners with limited verbal communication
-   Confidence managing behaviours that challenge (including physical behaviours)
-   Understanding of emotional regulation and sensory processing needs
-   Experience delivering personalised, structured 1:1 support
-   Patient, calm and consistent approach
-   Right to work on a self-employed basis in the UK

**Highly Desirable:**

-   Experience using communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton, visual timetables or AAC
-   Background in specialist SEN settings, adult care or alternative provision
-   Training in positive behaviour support, Team Teach, or similar
