## Description

**TuxCare** offers a comprehensive portfolio of security solutions for Linux and open-source software designed for enterprise organizations.

We are looking for a **Go Engineer** to join the team behind **SecureChain**, one of TuxCare's newer products focused on open-source software supply chain security.

SecureChain helps organisations use open-source dependencies more safely by providing packages rebuilt from verified source code, scanned for malware and supply chain risks, and continuously patched as new vulnerabilities emerge.

In this role, you will build and improve the automation and reliable systems that power these processes. You will also work on optimising existing workflows and applying AI where it adds value, from analysing data and supporting decision-making to improving operational visibility.

As SecureChain is still a relatively new product, you will have the opportunity to build systems from the ground up, take ownership of technical solutions, and help shape the product's direction.

### **You will be responsible for:**

- Build and operate the automated pipeline that continuously onboards open-source packages into SecureChain: thousands of packages per week.
- Own the Go ecosystem in this pipeline: rebuild Go modules from verified source code and resolve build failures at scale.
- Run AI agents on routine work: write the rules and playbooks the agents follow, check what they produce, and turn every recurring manual step into automation.
- Work as an individual contributor with a broad scope and mandate: use the shared onboarding platform, improve it, and contribute both to the platform itself and to Go ecosystem onboarding.

## Requirements

- **Go ecosystem expertise.** Strong understanding of Go modules, GOPROXY, GOSUMDB, toolchain versions, vendoring, and cgo. Ability to diagnose why a module builds successfully in one environment but fails in another.
- **Build and release engineering experience.** Hands-on experience building, packaging, and releasing software consumed by others, including troubleshooting build failures in unfamiliar codebases.
- **Working Python.** Ability to read, modify, and review Python automation code written by others. Experience contributing to shared Python-based automation platforms.
- **CI/CD and containers.** Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI is a plus) and Docker-based builds, including diagnosing failed jobs through pipeline logs.
- **Linux and Git proficiency.** Confident daily use of the Linux shell and strong familiarity with Git workflows, including branches, tags, cherry-picks, and backporting patches to older versions.
- **AI agents as a daily working tool.** Advanced experience using AI coding agents to handle the majority of routine engineering tasks, including defining rules, managing workflows, and independently reviewing generated output. Occasional experimentation is insufficient.
- **End-to-end ownership without close supervision.** Proven experience taking ownership of systems or workstreams from high-level requirements through production delivery, with clear communication of progress, risks, and blockers to engineers and stakeholders.
- Advanced written and spoken English.

## Benefits

**What's in it for you?**

- Stay hands-on technically while working on complex, high-impact engineering projects.
- Solve challenging Linux, automation, and cybersecurity problems across mature and newer products.
- Influence technical direction and make meaningful architectural decisions.
- Enjoy a high level of independence and autonomy in your daily work.
- Fully remote work with flexible working hours.
- 24 paid vacation days, 10 national holidays, and unlimited sick leave.
- Private medical insurance compensation.
- Co-working and gym/sports reimbursement.
- Education budget.
- Opportunity to receive a reward for innovative ideas that the company can patent.
