## Description

client is seeking an **Ansible Automation Engineer** to join their team in a contract-to-hire capacity. This individual will lead infrastructure automation initiatives across Linux and cloud environments, helping reduce manual operational work through scalable, repeatable automation solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and Terraform
-   Build scalable automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments
-   Automate processes across Linux (Red Hat/OpenShift), cloud, and infrastructure platforms
-   Collaborate with Infrastructure, DevOps, and Engineering teams to identify and implement automation opportunities
-   Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation workflows, playbooks, and pipelines
-   Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and automation standards
-   Support enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives in a hybrid cloud environment

## Requirements

Required Skills

-   Strong hands-on experience with **Ansible** (AAP, playbooks, roles, modules, automation workflows)
-   Strong experience with **Terraform** and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
-   Linux administration experience, including:

-   **Red Hat Enterprise Linux**
-   **OpenShift**

-   Experience supporting cloud platforms:

-   **Azure**
-   **AWS**
-   **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)**

-   Scripting experience with:

-   **YAML**
-   **Python**

-   Experience supporting infrastructure automation, configuration management, and deployment automation
-   Strong documentation and written communication skills
-   Ability to work independently in a highly technical, non-customer-facing environment

Bonus Skills

-   Windows Server administration experience
-   PowerShell scripting
-   Perl scripting
-   Git / version control experience
-   CI/CD pipeline experience
-   GitOps methodologies
-   Docker and Kubernetes exposure
