**Title: Mainframe SMP/E & ZOSMF Expert**

**Location: Remote**

**Type: Long Term Contract**

**Rated: $Open/hr.**

## Requirements

### 🔹 Key Responsibilities

-   Partner with vulnerability management teams to support **EZ CVE reporting**
-   Define and finalize automation timelines for **Patch Management**
-   Develop patch response models for ad-hoc and immediate escalation scenarios
-   Establish daily, weekly, and monthly patching and validation cadence
-   Review CVE package stability and improve reporting/dashboard capabilities
-   Enable **SMP/E processes**, define baseline datasets, and integrate with vulnerability scanning tools
-   Develop **AI-driven prompts and automation** for testing, RFB validation, and impact analysis
-   Provide advisory and implementation support for secure and stable patch deployment

### 🎯 Must-Have Skills

-   **10–15 years of strong hands-on SMP/E experience**
-   **z/OSMF and REST API** experience, particularly the Software Management component
-   **Git and USS/OMVS** skills
-   Experience installing and maintaining **z/OS and ISV software**
-   Excellent software testing skills, including functionality, robustness, and performance testing
-   Strong **Python and REXX** scripting experience
-   Working knowledge of IBM software and **mainframe ISV software customization**
-   **10+ years of relevant professional experience**
-   Strong overall **IT experience**
