You will join the team based in our new Two Circles office located in HITEC City, the heart of Hyderabad's thriving technology hub. Working primarily from the office, with some flexibility to work from home when required, you’ll collaborate closely with a high-performing team to design and deliver platform solutions that power our global products.

This is a **Lead Platform Engineer** role focused on **owning and shaping platform initiatives end-to-end**. You will take loosely defined problems, lead discovery, define architecture, and translate vision into actionable plans that teams can deliver against.

You will play a key role in **setting technical direction, driving delivery, and enabling others to execute effectively**, combining hands-on engineering expertise with strong leadership and organisational capability.  While this is a lead role, you are equally comfortable **rolling up your sleeves and contributing hands-on**, particularly in early-stage design, complex problem-solving, and critical delivery moments.

**Core Responsibilities:**

-   Lead the **end-to-end delivery of platform initiatives**, from early discovery through to production rollout 
-   Facilitate **discovery workshops and technical discussions**, working with stakeholders to clarify ambiguous requirements and define solutions 
-   Strong ability to **engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels**, from engineers to senior leadership, translating technical concepts into clear outcomes and aligning teams around delivery goals  
-   Own and define **target architectures** across cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), ensuring scalability, resilience, and security 
-   Translate architecture into **clear delivery plans**, breaking down work into epics, features, and actionable backlog items 
-   **Generate and prioritise backlog**, enabling teams to deliver efficiently with clear direction and outcomes 
-   Provide **technical leadership and guidance** to engineers, unblocking delivery and raising engineering standards 
-   Drive best practices across **IaC, CI/CD, security, networking, and observability** 
-   Design and oversee **cloud infrastructure solutions** using Azure (and AWS where relevant), ensuring alignment with long-term strategy 
-   Lead the adoption and evolution of **Infrastructure-as-Code** (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) 
-   Establish and optimise **CI/CD pipelines** using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps 
-   Ensure robust **security architecture**, including IAM, encryption, and least-privilege access 
-   Own **platform reliability**, including performance, monitoring, disaster recovery, and business continuity 
-   Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data, application engineering, product) to align platform capabilities with business needs
-   Own operational readiness for platform services, ensuring monitoring, alerting, runbooks, incident response, and escalation paths are in place before production rollout
-   Drive platform observability across logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and business-critical service health indicators, ensuring issues are detected early and alerts are meaningful and actionable
-   Lead continuous improvement of production reliability through post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, automation of operational tasks, and prioritisation of reliability improvements into the delivery backlog

## Requirements

### Skills & Experience Required

We’re looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and delivery capability:

-   Proven experience operating at a **Lead or Principal level**, owning technical direction and delivery 
-   Strong experience in **running projects and defining requirements**, from discovery through to execution
-   Demonstrated ability to **define architecture and translate it into structured delivery plans and backlogs** 
-   Experience **leading engineers or teams**, including mentoring, task planning, and delivery coordination 
-   Deep expertise in **Azure cloud services and architecture,** AWS experience beneficial.
-   Advanced proficiency in **Infrastructure-as-Code** (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) 
-   Strong experience designing and implementing **CI/CD pipelines** 
-   Solid understanding of **cloud networking, security, and distributed systems**
-   Strong understanding of **Cloud Adoption Frameworks (CAF)** across Azure and AWS, with the ability to apply them to real-world platform design, governance, and migration strategies
-   Hands-on capability with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Ansible or similar)
-   Experience working across **complex, production-grade environments** with high reliability requirements 

### Additional skills/qualification that would be beneficial for this role:

-   Architecture Level certification;

-   Azure Solutions Architect Expert
-   AWS Certified Solutions Architect

-   Multi-cloud experience (Azure, AWS, GCP)
-   Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS)
-   Experience with Content Management Systems (Contentful, Optimizely, Adobe etc).
