## Description

The Human Resources Business Partner will own the employee lifecycle for our global team, primarily located in South Africa and the United States. This role spans overseeing recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, policy administration, and people operations. You will partner with external legal and HR advisors to ensure compliance and upskill while serving as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.

This position will report to the Executive Director of Client Services. This position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in South Africa. 

This position has a flexible 8-hour workday. In practice, this may resemble a schedule of approximately 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM SAST to provide meaningful overlap with U.S. business hours, while remaining flexible based on business needs. Due to the global nature of the company, occasional meetings and interviews outside of standard business hours will be required. We will work with these to minimize disruptions, and meetings outside of standard business hours are anticipated to occur 3-5 times per week.  

**Key Responsibilities** 

**Global Support**  

-   Operate within a global framework, ensuring adaptability to support teams, meet deadlines and participate in virtual meetings across multiple time zones based in Canada, South Africa, U.K. or the U.S., as needed. 

-   Collaborate with international stakeholders, adjusting to varying schedules and priorities as needed. 

-   Facilitate seamless communication and coordination across global teams to support operational efficiency. 

-   Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate time-sensitive tasks and cross-regional collaboration. 

 **Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning** 

-   Partner with departments to understand current and support staffing needs in multiple regions.  

-   Manage and support the other HR staff.  

-   Coordinate and support end-to-end recruitment and selection processes. 

-   Build talent pipelines for priority and specialist positions.  

-   Support onboarding and integration of new employees.  

-   Promote equitable and inclusive hiring practices aligned with Employment Equity objectives. 

-   Optimize interviewing, selection, and onboarding processes to improve candidate experience and hiring efficiency. 

-   Develop and implement employee branding initiatives that position TydeCo & TydeCo U as an employers of choice globally. 

 **Employee Development and Capability Building** 

-   Identify employee development and training needs in collaboration with managers.  

-   Coordinate learning and development initiatives.  

-   Support career development and succession planning discussions 

 **Performance and Employee Support** 

-   Support managers and employees through performance review processes.  

-   Provide guidance on performance improvement and employee development planning.  

-   Assist in resolving employee concerns and workplace challenges.  

-   Encourage continuous feedback and development practices.  

-   Provide training and support to managers to ensure equitable treatment and opportunities for staff across departments and regions. 

 **Organisational Partnership** 

-   Continuously improve HR processes and procedures, ensuring that organisational and individual needs are met. 

-   Act as a trusted advisor to managers on people-related matters.  

-   Support employee engagement and culture initiatives.  

-   Contribute to organisational development and change management activities.  

-   Promote alignment between people practices and organisational goals.  

 **HR Operations and Compliance** 

-   Partner with external consultants to ensure compliance with SA labour legislation and US labor law, along with internal policies.  

-   Maintain accurate employee information and reporting.  

-   Provide ownership over reporting and compliance to Employment Equity, EEO, BBBEE, Skills Development initiatives, etc. where applicable. 

 **Culture, Engagement & Employee Experience** 

-   In partnership with external consultants, support employee engagement initiatives, including pulse surveys, feedback mechanisms, and culture programs. 

-   Refine onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience, partnering with external consultants to ensure compliance in each region.

**Role Division** 

-   **HR Strategy & Global Policy Management:** Partner with Senior leadership to develop and implement scalable HR policies, compliance frameworks, and handbook updates. 

-   **Operations & Payroll Processing:** Oversee HRIS, payroll support administration, and vendor relationships. 

-   **Talent Acquisition & Employer Experience:** Optimize recruitment, onboarding, and engagement initiatives. 

-   **Performance & Leadership Development:** Partner with leaders to build and refine training programs, succession plans, and feedback mechanisms.

## Requirements

**Qualifications** 

-   8+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with experience in employee development, Organisational development, and other people-related functions 

-   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Human Capital, Organisational Development, or a related field. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. 

-   Proven success in talent management 

-   Experience managing staff. 

-   Exceptional communication, strong consultative skills, and a solutions-oriented approach. 

-   Experience working in broad Human Resources roles in multi-national, multi-cultural businesses 

-   Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. 

**Preferred** 

-   Working knowledge of South African labour legislation and U.S. federal and state employment laws, with the ability to partner effectively with external legal advisors and apply HR practices across multiple jurisdictions. 

-   Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems; knowledge of Workable a plus 

-   Experience working with and supporting remote employees across multiple time zones.

Work can take place either in an open office setting or remote setting with the expectation to travel onsite based on business and management needs. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work a flexible and regular full-time schedule.
