**Job Summary**

The Release Manager owns the release management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating, and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios.

## Requirements

**Skills:**

-   Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
-   At least 5 years of experience in release management, project management, or service transition
-   Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle
-   Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross functional work teams toward task completion
-   Advanced written and verbal communication skills as a must
-   General PC knowledge including MS Office
-   ITIL certification is a nice to have skill
-   Nice to have experience with deploying packaged applications

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities:**

-   Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environment
-   Work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and is supportive of developers and testers as they set up their build and test environments
-   Build the release calendar in working closely with project managers of different portfolios across IT and centralizing view of all releases
-   Forward plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
-   Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
-   Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
-   Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no go reviews
-   Produce deployment, run books, and implementation plans
-   Participate in change control board meetings to discuss release scope and roadblocks
